FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the dental refining process? How does it work?

When it comes to the precious metal content found within dental scrap - it will always be different. The breakdown and purity of metals used over time change based on time period, continent & more.

The Muzeum Dental Refining process for dental scrap is very simple:

Step 1:  Collect all of your dental precious metal scrap.
Step 2:  Ship your dental scrap or request our pick-up service.
Step 3:  We refine the dental scrap, then provide a report and payout.

What materials can I send?

Muzeum Dental Refining are leading experts in the precious metals refining industry. We accept all types of dental scrap including dental crowns, bridges, inlays/onlays, clasps, fillings, and other metal extractions.

Is there a time limit or minimum for my refining kit?

There is no time limit, minimums or maximums with our process.
Our pre-printed, pre-paid return shipping labels never expire and are fully insured. Simply apply the label when you are ready to ship your material or call us for our pick-up service.

What are your payment methods?

We offer the following payment methods:

- Mailed Cheque
- Interac E-Transfer
- Bullion (Investment Grade Gold or Silver)
- Cash (local GTA only)

Is it possible to get my material back after sending it to Muzeum Dental?

If you elect to have your material returned to you after the refining process has occurred, the precious metals will be provided in the form of a layered metal bar.
Please note, there will be a refining fee for this service.

Do you accept amalgam or non-precious scrap?

No, we do not. Amalgam has mercury, which can be hazardous during our refining process. If we happen to suspect amalgam in the lot we received, we will contact the customer and inform them.

I like the company I use. Why should I change?

In this industry, it is impossible to determine a fair value for material without properly refining and analyzing the product. Dental scrap usually contains a combination of various precious metals. With walk-in cash offers, you are only being paid for a small portion of the actual value.

We recommend trying us on your next average sized lot.

The payout you receive from Muzeum will shock you.

When should I sell dental scrap?

There is never a wrong time to sell your dental scrap! Precious metal prices are at an all time high, any amount will yield a profitable return. There are no minimum lot size requirements.

Why sell your dental scrap to Muzeum Dental?

Muzeum Dental Refining pride ourselves on the honest and transparent service we maintain for our customers.
We include a precious metal report which outlines the precious metal compositions found in your dental lot.
